The Green Bay Packers Mentor-Protégé Program honored Lisa and Kelly Reynolds, of Reynolds Packaging, as Comeback Player of the Year in Green Bay. The Green Bay Packers Mentor-Protégé Program pairs established mentor companies with growing protégé companies. Reynolds Packaging participated as a protégé company, seeking guidance to improve its competitive standing in the packaging industry.
Reynolds Packaging’s mentor, Dean Stewart, with the St. Norbert College Center for Exceptional Leadership, was named Most Valuable Mentor. Mark Murphy, Packers president and CEO, congratulated the entrepreneurs at a virtual celebration event in February 2021.
Lisa Reynolds, CEO of Reynolds Packaging, appreciated being part of this exceptional business mentorship program.
“This is such an amazing program, and we are so honored to have the opportunity to work the best possible mentor,” she said. “Thank you, Dean Stewart, for all you do and all you have done!”
Like many companies, Reynolds Packaging pivoted during the pandemic. Identifying a need for personal protective equipment, Reynolds Packaging converted its equipment and added a new line to manufacture masks and filters, as well flexible packaging for alcohol wipes.
The mentors in the program provide a wide range of guidance to protégés, including technical, financial, managerial advice. The partnerships help create jobs in Wisconsin while fostering business growth and economic development. Over the past 10 years, the program has created more than 360 full- and part-time jobs for the nearly 100 protégé participants. Additionally, participants increased their annual revenue by a combined $78.3 million.
As a woman-owned business, Reynolds Packaging fits the target for which the program was created. The Green Bay Packers Mentor-Protégé Program connects woman-owned, minority-owned and veteran-owned companies with experienced mentor companies. These three ownership structures account for 86 percent of participants.
Reynolds Packaging is honored to be the Comeback Player of the Year in Green Bay. Thank you, Green Bay Packers for supporting this wonderful mentorship program.
