Packaging for the future NOW

Bio-materials have been around for many years, however they have not entirely delivered on the promise of bringing the same packaging convenience as conventional plastic, as well as returning 100 percent back to nature, without harmful impact.

Our technology combines complex blends of compostable polymers converted into flexible packaging to achieve a wide range of packaging solutions.

Approximately 95 percent of flexible packaging options cannot be recycled, however with our converting technology  we have brought a fully compostable alternative to the market.

Compostable is the most ecological route to take over recyclable packaging in the foreseeable future.

Compostable vs. Recyclable Packaging?

  • Lets differentiate between the need for recyclable and compostable materials in the marketplace.  Packaging for the food industry is the largest consumer of packaging today, so that marketplace should have all recyclable, reusable or compostable packaging.    Flexible packaging is the second largest segment after rigid packaging.  Our recommendation is to reuse when possible, then recycle and ultimately have an ecological end-of-life solution in the use of flexible packaging.
    • Recycling:  Best alternative for rigid packaging
    • Compostable:  Best application for all non-recyclable solutions like flexible packaging

  • Our Certified Biodegradable and Compostable flexible films used in our packaging allows brand owners and retailers to proudly showcase and talk about the sustainability journey of their own packaging.

  •  We are paving the way for a sustainable future and adhering to responsible environmental practices for generations to come.

New DUAL SEAL technology is the sustainable packaging solution

  •  Our Bags and Pouches are made with a 100% compostable film that completely seals in freshness with a new technology and a heavy duty DUAL sealing system.  Completely made from renewable and natural resources that have a substantial positive impact on our environment. Packaging that does so much more than protecting and extending product freshness on the inside, it protects the environment on the outside too.

Our Eco Friendly Packaging and Bags are revolutionary for our industry. We developed a converting technology that produces compostable packaging that keeps products fresh for extended life cycle.

FAQs

Does this packaging yellow with age?

  • Yellowing typically comes from a PvDc Coating that is a common layer on many film structures.  Rubber-based adhesives are also known to oxidize when they deteriorate, which causes the adhesive to yellow and become oily and sticky.  Our compostable film is derived from a renewable cellulose, not from petrochemical sources.

If the bags are compostable, will it still protect my product after a few months on the shelf?

  •  The packaging will last as long as you need it to.  Compostability does not mean the packaging will disintegrate while on the retail shelf.  In order to compost you must have 3 environmental conditions at the same time for an extended period of time:  Heat, Moisture and microorganisms.  And we don't typically see that on the retail shelf.

How can I tell if packaging is compostable?

  •  The only certain way is to ask the packaging manufacturer for a third-party certification document. This certification should not be one generated by the company itself. It should be from an accredited third party like BPI - Biodegradable Products Institute.

Are all Compostable and Biodegradable packaging films created equal?

  • Many films are laminated with other structures and are not compostable.  The films we use meet all the global standards for Industrial Composting and are certified to the OK Compost Home Standard for backyard composting.  You can put the bag in your own home compost bin, and it will be gone within weeks..
